As a Data Engineer, you’ll have the chance to be responsible for development and maintenance of back-end data warehouse systems for our products and applications.
This role is specifically for joining the Enterprise Resource Programme (ERP) team managing Workday, the Finance stack, and all integrations and data pipelines into Workday.
Who are your stakeholders?
Key stakeholders include the Finance, Traders, Sales, Account Management, Talent, Operations, IT along with tech SMEs across Platform, IT, Data management, Data Science & Analytics teams
What You’ll Bring
2-3 years of experience in data engineering and integration domain with in-depth exposure around building & managing data pipelines on cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)
Extensive hands-on experience around Notebook Pyspark coding (Preferably on Databricks) & advanced SQL to develop & optimise data pipelines
In-depth understanding of data modelling & data transformation techniques while maintaining a high level of data quality & integrity
Strong software development skills using Hadoop technologies such as Hive, Spark etc.
2-3+ years of experience in Workday Studio and managing code within the Workday workplace
Knowledge & exposure to SaaS Applications, such as Salesforce or any other CRM system
Well-versed with release management, incident management and SDLC methodologies through Bitbucket/GitHub and JIRA
Good understanding of infrastructure components such as clusters, nodes, compute, and storage needed for managing data pipelines and their performance
Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate roadblocks, diagnose problems and generate effect
