Job Description
An understanding of the characteristics of projects over a project life cycle.
Positive knowledge of the main procurement methods and their application with respect to the “tactical procurement” of small to large sized buildings.
Knowledge and understanding of value engineering.
Business development experience, particularly in the context of identifying opportunities with existing clients.
Producing feasibility studies and writing procurement reports.
Estimating and cost planning to include producing and presenting the final cost plan.
Tendering and procurement, including managing the prequalification stage, producing the tender list, putting the preliminaries together, conducting pre tender estimates,
tender analysis, producing the tender report and compiling the contractual documents.
Dealing effectively with post contract cost variances and the change control processes, where applicable referring major changes to line manager.
Taking personal responsibility for making cost checks and carrying out valuations on larger projects and in all cases ensuring that timely and accurate cost checking and valuation takes place.
Producing monthly post contract cost reports for the Line Manager to present to the client.
Follow project governance processes and systems that are utilized throughout the project and cascade Turner & Townsend cost management procedures to the relevant staff.
Qualifications
• Education - B.E / B. Tech Civil/Electrical/Mechanical/ post-Graduation in NICMAR.
• 10 – 15 years
• 5 years of experience in large scaled industrial projects.
