Required Qualifications
2–4 years of experience in Legal Operations, legal bill review, e-billing, or accounts payable.
Exposure to an ELM / e-billing platform — Onit / Nikki preferred (or comparable such as Legal Tracker, SimpleLegal, TyMetrix/CounselLink, Brightflag).
Familiarity with UTBMS coding and OCG/billing guidelines.
Strong Excel skills and good attention to detail.
Positive written and verbal communication; ability to follow detailed instructions and meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Spend Management & Invoice Review
Conduct first-level review of law firm invoices against client Outside Counsel Guidelines (OCG), flagging discrepancies for senior review.
Validate UTBMS task codes (Fee, Activity,
and Expense codes) applied to invoice line items.
Process invoices within the Onit platform and support Nikki AI-assisted review workflows.
Document proposed bill reductions with supporting rationale for senior/stakeholder approval.
Track daily bill review production against client-defined schedules and turnaround targets.
Matter Management
Support matter intake, data entry, and lifecycle tracking within Onit.
Assist with matter budget tracking, accruals updates, and routine data maintenance.
Help maintain workflows and ensure matter records are accurate and up to date.
