Robot Learning Engineer — Manipulation & Locomotion

About Clutterbot
Clutterbot is building robots to maintain, organise, and reset common public and commercial spaces. We are building a hybrid end-to-end architecture where classical and modern methods work together for maximum reliability and robustness.

The role
You'll join our manipulation team developing imitation learning policies that let our robots do useful work in cluttered environments. The work spans across data, learning algorithms, training and evaluations.

What you'll do
Design, implement, and optimise deep learning models.
Work across hardware, software, and large-scale model training to build reliable autonomous policies
Shape the datasets, task distributions, and training recipes for pretraining and fine tuning manipulation policies
Run fast, rigorous experiments to find bottlenecks and failure modes and improve policy performance
Ship production-quality, well-tested software that gets deployed to the real world

What you’ll bring
BS/MS/PhD in CS, Robotics, ML, or related field




Experience training and fine-tuning ML models based on transformer architectures.
Track record deploying ML models on real products
Experience with optimising models to run on the edge
Exposure to building data pipelines, training systems, and evaluation frameworks

Strong plus
Work experience with robot learning techniques (RL,IL, VLAs, world models, etc.)
Personal or professional projects which include working with VLA architectures (π0/π0.5, OpenVLA, Groot, Molmo, etc).
Publications on developing and deploying learning-based manipulation solutions
Exposure to any part of the robotics stack: Manipulation, Controls, runtime software, perception, etc
