Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Head – Fabrication (Poles) to lead end-to-end manufacturing operations of pole fabrication, welding, assembly, and dispatch activities. The incumbent will be responsible for driving production excellence, productivity improvement, quality compliance, cost optimization, safety performance, and operational efficiency while ensuring timely delivery of customer requirements.
The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in heavy fabrication, structural steel manufacturing, welding operations, plate processing, resource planning, and lean manufacturing practices. Experience in managing large fabrication facilities with exposure to CNC plasma cutting, oxy-fuel cutting, press brakes, shot blasting, welding, and assembly operations will be highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing Operations
Lead complete fabrication operations for steel poles and related structures.
Ensure achievement of daily, monthly, and annual production targets.
Drive Plan vs. Actual reviews and implement corrective actions.
Manage fabrication, welding, assembly, finishing, and dispatch operations.
Optimize utilization of manpower, machines, materials, and methods.
Production Planning & Resource Management
Prepare capacity plans aligned with business demand forecasts.
Conduct manpower planning and deployment based on production requirements.
Ensure effective utilization of fabrication equipment and shop-floor resources.
Monitor consumable usage and implement cost-control initiatives.
Fabrication & Welding Excellence
Oversee fabrication processes including:
CNC Plasma Cutting
Oxy-Fuel Cutting
Press Brake Operations
Shearing
Welding & Assembly
Shot Blasting
Ensure adherence to approved welding procedures, quality standards, and process controls.
Drive cycle-time reduction and throughput improvements.
Continuous Improvement
Lead Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, TPM, 5S, and productivity enhancement initiatives.
