The Lock Desk Specialist is responsible for lock confirmations, locking loans, lock updates, relocks, lock extensions, managing email box and dashboard queues

Education
Any bachelor’s degree

Roles and Responsibilities
Generate Initial lock confirmation.
Lock, extend, re-lock and re-price loans in the pricing engine and Loan Origination System as needed, ensuring pricing calculations are correct.
Monitor Encompass dashboard queues and ensure timely completion of tasks
Provide support to mortgage staff for pricing inquiries, post lock questions/inquiries
Assist with system enhancement/update testing
Rate Lock or Pricing Desk experience preferred
Knowledge of current regulatory compliance requirements




Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
Present self in a skilled manner and can interact with all levels of organization and outside contacts appropriately
Proficient in MS Office including Word and Excel
Ability to complete responsibilities effectively and efficiently with minimal direction
Ensure SLA’s are met for initial underwrites, condition, and final condition reviews through effective pipeline management - Delete
Impeccable written and verbal communication
Manage daily tasks to ensure business needs are consistently met
