Job Summary

The Database Platforms team at The Standard India is responsible to plan, build, and run the database service to enable secure and reliable centralized repositories for structured data. Our Vision is to empower the Enterprise through secure, reliable and modern database platforms – accelerating cloud migration to enable critical business applications, automation and operational excellence.

As a Database Engineer II,



you will be part of this high performing team and responsible for:

Design, develop, and maintain Relational and Non-Relational databases to support business applications and reporting platforms.
Create and manage database objects (tables, indexes, views, procedures, packages) ensuring data integrity and security.
Monitor and optimize database performance using tools and SQL tuning utilities.
Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures
Automate database provisioning and management using scripting and Infrastructure as Code tools (Python, Ansible, Terraform).
Collaborate with application developers, architects, and infrastructure teams to integrate database solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve database issues and incidents.
Ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements by managing user access, roles, and audit logs.
