3–6 years in File Transfer or Backup operations.
The File Transfer & Backup L2.5 Engineer provides advanced operational support for managed file transfer services and backup operations. This role bridges L2 and L3, handling moderately complex incidents, performing routine platform administration, executing operational changes, and escalating unresolved issues to L3.
Key Responsibilities
Working knowledge of MFT technologies (SFTP/FTPS/HTTPS).
Experience with enterprise backup solutions (Veeam/Commvault/Rubrik/NetBackup).
Basic scripting knowledge for automation (PowerShell/Bash preferred).
Understanding of Windows/Linux file systems and permissions.
Knowledge of networking basics (FTP ports, firewall rules, protocols).
