Job Summary
To create designs that are of high quality, consistent and in line with the overall design vision of the project and customer needs. Experience in design of components with various manufacturing processes like, Stamping, Molding & Machining. Proficient in Creo & SolidWorks CAD software (Creating 3D models, Sheet Metal, 2D drawing and Assembly) Hands on experience in Windchill PDM / PLM for managing lifecycle of the components. Experience in Geometric Dimension & Tolerancing (GD&T;) Knowledge in Tolerance stack up analysis. Solid knowledge in manufacturability considerations for Sheetmetal & Plastic Knowledge on DFMEA and identify relevant product risks. Identifying the suitable material,
apply DFM/DFA concepts in design and familiar with latest engineering design and methods, tools, and processes. Experience with standard NPI / NPD process. Understanding of compliance requirements. Ability to present and articulate ideas to key stakeholders and leadership team. Excellent communication skills and Positive ‘can do’ and proactive attitude. Quality mindset in design and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
1. To work closely with stakeholders to understand and refine design requirements.
2. To develop prototypes and proof-of-concept implementations to validate design decisions.
3. To mentor junior designers, share knowledge and expertise through training sessions and documentation.
4. To collaborate with cross functional teams and other stakeholders to align software design with overall project goals.
5. To work with quality assurance teams to establish and maintain high-quality.
