Job Summary
Automation Engineer – L2 (Digital Workplace) The Automation Engineer (L2) – Digital Workplace is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting automation solutions to improve efficiency, stability, and user experience across DWP services. This role focuses on L2-level operational automation, self-heal use cases, and continuous improvement within BAU environments.

Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and workflows for DWP services (endpoint, device, user management). Implement self-heal and auto-remediation solutions for recurring incidents and service requests. Support L2 operations by reducing manual effort through automation and orchestration. Integrate automation with ITSM tools (ServiceNow) for trigger-based and event-driven workflows. Collaborate with DWP, Command Center, and Tools teams to identify automation opportunities. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and convert fixes into reusable automations. Monitor, maintain,



and enhance existing automation solutions to ensure reliability. Support transition of L1-triggered automations and provide guidance during complex issues.

Skill Requirements
Key Skills & Technical Expertise: Solid hands-on experience in: Scripting: PowerShell (mandatory), Python (preferred) Endpoint Management: Intune, SCCM, device provisioning and patching OS Platforms: Windows (primary), macOS (basic) Experience with ServiceNow (workflows, catalog integration, automation triggers). Knowledge of DWP tools and monitoring (e.g., endpoint monitoring, user experience tools). Exposure to automation platforms, orchestration tools, and RPA (preferred). Understanding of ITIL processes and BAU operational environments.

Other Requirements
Experience & Qualifications: 4–7 years of IT experience with 2–4 years in automation / scripting roles. Experience in managed services or enterprise DWP environments. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills at L2 support level. Relevant certifications in Microsoft, Automation, or scripting tools are an advantage.
