Job Summary
Looking for MS SQL Database Administrator (DBA), a high-level technical role responsible for the architecture, security, and performance of mission-critical database environments.

Core Responsibilities
Architecture & High Availability: Design and implement robust, fault-tolerant solutions using Always On Availability Groups, Failover Clustering, and Replication.
Performance Tuning: Lead advanced query optimization, index tuning, and resource monitoring (CPU, memory, I/O) using tools like SQL Profiler, DMVs, and Extended Events.
Disaster Recovery (DR): Architect and test comprehensive backup/restore strategies and recovery models to ensure zero or minimal data loss.
Automation: Develop and maintain PowerShell or T-SQL scripts to automate routine maintenance, patching, and deployments.
Security & Compliance: Enforce enterprise-level security, including TDE encryption, role-based access, and auditing for compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
Capacity Planning: Forecast database growth to plan storage, compute needs, and hardware/software upgrades.
Mentorship: Provide technical guidance to junior DBAs and collaborate with development teams on schema design and T-SQL best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience: Typically, 5 to 10+ years of experience in MS SQL Server administration.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Cloud Proficiency:



Hands-on experience with Azure SQL Database (PaaS) or AWS RDS is increasingly mandatory for senior roles in 2025.
Technical Stack: Deep expertise in T-SQL, SSMS, SSIS, and Windows Server (including Active Directory).
Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills to interface with stakeholders and manage crisis situations.

Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage technical teams to deliver high-quality microsoft powerbi solutions within specified timelines.
2. Develop and implement powerbi dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to meet business requirements.
3. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for powerbi projects.
4. Optimize sql databases and queries to ensure efficient data retrieval and storage.
5. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members on powerbi best practices and sql optimization techniques.
6. Troubleshoot and debug powerbi solutions and sql databases as needed.
7. Stay updated on latest trends in powerbi and sql to recommend and implement creative solutions.

Skill Requirements
1. Proficient in microsoft powerbi for data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development.
2. Strong expertise in sql for database design, optimization, and querying.
3. Experience in leading technical teams and managing project deliveries.
4. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and present technical solutions effectively.
5. Problem-solving aptitude with a keen attention to detail.
6. Ability to work in a fast paced environment and adapt to changing priorities efficiently.

Other Requirements
Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) in Data Management and Analytics is preferred but not mandatory.
