About the Role
We are seeking an Associate Software Engineer to join our dynamic engineering teams and contribute to the development of innovative software solutions. As an Associate Software Engineer, you will work as part of a Scrum team responsible for delivering components of our flagship products and platforms. This entry-level skilled position provides an excellent opportunity to develop your technical skills while contributing to meaningful software development projects that impact millions of users globally. Your primary responsibility is to work as a Quality Engineer, focusing on developing regression tests, end-to-end (E2E) tests, and other quality assurance solutions to ensure product reliability and performance.

How You Will Make an Impact
As an Associate Software Engineer, you will work in teams responsible for delivering one or more product components across various platforms including research, education, and corporate learning systems. You will be responsible for delivering solid and maintainable software through established good processes while taking ownership over component, product, or project lifecycles. You will provide technical support and assistance to end-users, troubleshoot application issues, and resolve them in a timely manner. Your responsibilities will include documenting and tracking support tickets, escalating unresolved issues following established procedures, and contributing to continuous improvement of support processes and procedures.





Skills and Qualifications
Core Technical Skills:
Excellent knowledge of computer science concepts
Basic understanding of Java-based development
Good understanding of client/server applications, relational databases, and web-based application
What is HTTP and how is it used in client-server communication?
Can you explain what happens when you type a URL into a browser?
What is the role of a server in a client-server architecture?
Knowledge of version control systems and collaborative development practices.
Development Technologies:
Experience with modern web technologies and frameworks
Understanding of API development and integration concepts
Basic knowledge of cloud technologies and deployment practices
Familiarity with agile development methodologies
Experience with debugging and problem-solving techniques
Knowledge of testing principles and quality assurance practices
Professional Capabilities:
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to work effectively in team environments
Willingness to learn new skills and technologies continuously
Passion for software development with an engineering mindset
Eagerness to take on new challenges and grow professionally
Understanding of the value in collaborative work and knowledge sharing.
Technical Support Skills:
Ability to provide technical support via ticketing systems, emails, or calls
Skills in troubleshooting and diagnosing application problems
Experience with documentation and ticket tracking systems
Capability to escalate issues appropriately following established procedures
Ability to educate end-users on effective application usage.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or equivalent qualification
0-12 months of relevant technical experience (internships and projects considered)
Entry-level position suitable for recent graduates or career changers
Demonstrated passion for technology and continuous learning
