Senior Administrator - Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)

Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
• Handle escalated security incidents from L1 and perform in‑depth troubleshooting [JnJ | PowerPoint]
• Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents within SLA
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across firewalls, VPNs, ACLs, and secure network services
• Execute approved network security changes (break‑fix, standard, emergency) [JnJ | PowerPoint]
• Validate device configurations and security policy compliance
• Support telco and security maintenance activities, including pre‑ and post‑checks
• Coordinate with L3, SOC, and Field Services teams for complex incidents
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and contribute to problem management
• Create and maintain KB articles, SOPs, and incident documentation
Tools & Technologies (Typical)
• Firewall platforms (vendor‑specific as applicable)
• Network & security monitoring tools (alerts, dashboards)
• ITSM / Ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow)
• Packet analysis and troubleshooting tools
Access & Scope
• Write access to network security devices (as per approval)
• Executes configuration changes, validations, and break‑fix activities
• Ownership of incident resolution until closure or L3 escalation
• Strong understanding of network security fundamentals (Firewall, VPN, IPS/IDS, routing basics)
• Experience in incident, problem, and change management (ITIL aligned)
• Ability to analyze security events and determine impact
• Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills
