Job Summary
The Autosys Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administration, monitoring, support, and maintenance of the Autosys workload automation platform. This role ensures high availability of the Autosys application and agents, coordinates with infrastructure and application teams, and manages Autosys objects, integrations, monitoring, and access controls. The role acts as the primary owner for Autosys-related incidents, service requests, and configuration changes.
Key Responsibilities
Autosys Platform Operations & Maintenance
• Own and manage Autosys application outages, coordinating with Linux and Database teams to restore service in a timely manner.
• Handle all Autosys-related incident, problem, and service request tickets, ensuring proper documentation and resolution.
• Support Autosys break-fix activities.
Monitoring & Health Management
• Monitor Autosys platform health.
• Proactively identify and address Autosys performance or availability issues.
Autosys Agent Management
• Handle Autosys agent installation and upgrade requests from application teams.
• Perform post-installation validation, including agent communication checks using test jobs and Autosys commands.
• Troubleshoot agent-related issues, like Agent not starting, Communication failures, Jobs not triggering, Agents in missing, blocked, or offline status.
Plugin Installation & Configuration
• Install and configure Autosys plugins (Database, SAP, and application-specific plugins).
• Coordinate with application teams to gather required plugin configuration details.
• Implement Autosys-side configuration changes and ensure seamless integration with applications.
WCC & EEM Administration
Administer Web UI (WCC) and EEM, including:
• Creating and modifying EEM policies
• Creating and managing WCC views
• Managing user access and roles
• Troubleshoot WCC and EEM-related issues involving policies, views, and access permissions.
Autosys Object Management
• Create, modify, and delete Autosys job objects, including:
• Jobs (command, box, SAP, etc.)
• Calendars
• Global variables
• Resources
• Ensure adherence to scheduling standards, naming conventions, and operational best practices.
• Good understanding of Linux OS and Bash script
• Willing to work in shifts/outside business hours/weekends
• Valuable knowledge in the ITIL process
• Must have good communication skills and Problem-solving skills
