Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Micro segmentation Implementation Specialist to join our agile security team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network micro segmentation strategy as a cornerstone of our Zero Trust security architecture. You will work closely with various IT and security teams to ensure the granular isolation of workloads, applications, and data across our on-premises and cloud environments, significantly reducing our attack surface and enhancing our overall security posture.

Strategy & Design:
Design and architecture of network and application based micro segmentation solutions aligned with Zero Trust principles and organizational security policies.
Collaborate with security architects, application owners, and infrastructure teams to understand application dependencies and data flows for effective segmentation.
Develop comprehensive documentation, including network diagrams, policy definitions, and implementation plans for micro segmentation.

Implementation & Deployment:




Implement and configure micro segmentation solutions using various technologies (e.g., agent-based, network-based, native cloud controls) in hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
Work hands-on with relevant security tools and platforms (e.g., Illumio, Akamai Guardicore, Cisco Secure Workload (Tetration), Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, VMware NSX, native cloud security groups/firewalls).
Define and enforce granular, application-centric security policies to control East-West traffic and limit lateral movement of threats.
Integrate micro segmentation with existing security infrastructure, including SIEM, EDR, IAM, and automation platforms.

Operations & Maintenance:
Continuously monitor the effectiveness of micro segmentation policies and adjust as needed based on evolving threats and business requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex network segmentation issues, working with cross-functional teams.
Provide production support for escalated incidents related to micro segmentation.

Skill Requirements
Diagnose and resolve complex network segmentation issues, including connectivity problems, policy conflicts, and performance bottlenecks.
Provide expert-level support for escalated incidents related to micro segmentation platforms and policies.
Collaborate with application owners, infrastructure teams, and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
