Quality Engineer II

About the Role
This position in Quality Engineering is responsible for testing and validating data pipelines, data quality monitoring tools, and UI dashboards. The role works cross-functionally with Data Engineering and Product/UX teams to ensure systems are performant, accurate, and compliant with quality standards.

Responsibilities:
• Design and execute manual and automated test cases for data pipelines and UI dashboards
• Validate data quality metrics, pipeline outputs, and dashboard health indicators
• Collaborate with Data Engineering and Product/UX to define acceptance criteria and quality standards
• Build and maintain automated test suites using Playwright with TypeScript/Java in GitHub Actions
• Participate in defect tracking, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain test plans, test cases, and QA process documentation in Confluence
• Support internal and external audits by maintaining records and framework documentation
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements
• 2-4 years of QA/QE experience with manual and automation testing
• BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience in data-intensive or analytics-driven environments preferred

TECHNICAL SKILLS
• Test automation using Playwright with TypeScript or Java
• CI/CD pipelines, particularly GitHub Actions
• JIRA and Confluence for issue tracking and documentation




• Data pipeline concepts and data quality testing methodologies
• UI dashboard testing for data health and accuracy
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
