Job Summary
Configuration Specialist to oversee and govern our IT Asset Management in support of core insurance systems, regulatory compliance, and risk managementServiceNow CMDB, SNOW IRM

Key Responsibilities
1. Lead configuration management operations using ServiceNow Administration, ensuring accurate configuration item tracking, change management, and compliance with client SLAs for large-scale environments.
2. Oversee ITSM tool integration and maintenance utilizing BMC Remedy, CA Service Desk, and Avanti, optimizing workflows and automating processes to improve operational efficiency.
3. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing service delivery metrics in ServiceNow and proposing tool-based enhancements for process automation and reporting.
4. Mentor and guide support teams in advanced configuration management practices, fostering technical excellence and transparent communication of project goals.
5. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to evaluate and implement cutting-edge solutions in ServiceNow and related ITSM tools, addressing evolving business and client requirements.
6. Ensure robust incident, change, and problem management through advanced configuration and customization of ITSM platforms, supporting organizational and client objectives.

Job Description
We are seeking a Configuration Specialist to oversee and govern our IT Asset Management in support of core insurance systems, regulatory compliance, and risk management. This role is critical to ensuring accurate configuration data for systems supporting policy administration, claims, underwriting, and customer platforms, while enabling effective risk and compliance reporting through our configuration and risk management platform.
Job Duration: Minimum six months with option to renew.

Key Responsibilities
• Define and implement the configuration management platform to meet industry and regulatory requirements,
• Manage and govern the configuration management platform, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and data quality
• Maintain configuration items (CIs) and relationships for insurance applications, infrastructure, and services
• Support ServiceNow IRM modules (Risk, Policy & Compliance, Audit) with reliable CMDB data
• Partner with IT, Information Security, Risk, and Compliance teams to support audits and regulatory requirements




• Ensure systems handling PHI/ePHI are properly identified and classified to support HIPAA compliance
• Support configuration data reporting, certification, and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in Configuration Management, CMDB, or IT Service Management
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow CMDB or similar tool set
• Experience supporting ServiceNow IRM or GRC workflows
• Experience working in a regulated environment, preferably insurance or financial services
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulated-regulated systems and data

Preferred
• ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CMDB, ITOM, IRM)
• Experience supporting audits or regulatory exams (HIPAA, SOC, insurance regulators)
