Job Summary
Storage administration and engineering in a large 24x7 setting operating within the realms of Agile and ITIL processes
• Closely communicate with both IT and business partners to design and implement solutions supporting business needs
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical environments on distributed applications and infrastructure
• Ensure procedures are followed and mechanisms are in place to ensure compliance to technical designs, best practices, and are well supported
• Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point
• Maintain lifecycle of all storage assets including capacity planning and performance management.
• Support audit, compliance, risk assessment, security and other business needs
• Write documentation and procedures
• Ensure knowledge sharing and skill development in the team
• Deliver team’s vision, roadmap and strategy consistent with GTE needs
• Continuous improvement using DevOps skills to streamline/transform manual processes
• Work in shifts, flexible to work outside office hours

• Management of Broadcom/Cisco IC switches
• Provisioning and administration of CIFS and NFS file access
• Management of ONTAP data protection features
• ONTAP/Firmware upgrade
• Performance monitoring of NetApp ONTAP clusters
• Troubleshooting in complex NetApp NAS environment
• Configuration of Scality replication and erasure coding
• Management of Scality RING
• Support for S3 protocol for object access
• Non-disruptive RING upgrade
• Administration of Pure Storage
• Purity OS upgrade

Other Requirements
Shell scripting
