Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled Automation Engineer with strong experience in Playwright using Java to design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks. The role involves close collaboration with developers, QA, and product teams to ensure high‑quality, reliable, and performant applications. Experience with Selenium + Java (TestNG) is a robust plus.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks using Playwright with Java
• Automate web application testing across multiple browsers and platforms
• Create and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, and smoke testing
• Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams for resolution
• Ensure test coverage across UI, API, and end‑to‑end workflows
• Review test cases, test scripts, and automation code for quality and best practices
• Mentor junior automation engineers and provide technical guidance
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint planning, stand‑ups, retrospectives)

Required Skills & Qualifications
Must Have
• 5–8 years of experience in test automation
• Strong hands‑on experience with Playwright using Java
• Solid understanding of Java programming and OOP concepts




• Experience in automating modern web applications (SPA frameworks like React/Angular is a plus)
• Knowledge of test design techniques, automation best practices, and defect lifecycle
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
• Familiarity with Git or other version control systems

Good to Have
• Hands‑on experience with Selenium WebDriver using Java
• Experience with TestNG framework
• Exposure to API automation (REST, Postman, Playwright API testing, or similar)
• Knowledge of BDD frameworks (Cucumber is a plus)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.)
• Basic understanding of performance or security testing

Key Responsibilities
1. To be responsible for providing technical guidance / solutions; define, advocate, and implement best practices and coding standards for the team.
2. To develop and guide the team members in enhancing their technical capabilities and increasing productivity.
3. To ensure process compliance in the assigned module and participate in technical discussions/review as a technical consultant for feasibility study (technical alternatives, best packages, supporting architecture best practices, technical risks, breakdown into components, estimations).
4. To prepare and submit status reports for minimizing exposure and risks on the project or closure of escalations.
