Job Summary
To independently resolve tickets, provide on call support and doing root cause analysis to ensure positive customer feedback.

Key Responsibilities
1. To adhere to quality standards, regulatory requirements and company policies.
2. To provide support for on call escalations and doing root cause analysis of given issue.
3. Work on value adding activities such Knowledge base update & management, Training freshers, coaching analysts.
4. To independently resolve tickets within agreed SLA of ticket volume and time.
5. To ensure positive customer experience and CSAT through First Call Resolution and minimum rejected resolutions / Reopen Cases.

Role – Network Security Engineer
Key Roles & Responsibilities
• Manage day-to-day operations of Palo Alto Networks PA-Series / VM-Series firewalls including rule updates, NAT policies, VPN management, and health checks.
• Monitor and analyze firewall logs for performance, connectivity issues, and security anomalies.
• Support upgrades, patches, and PAN-OS version compliance as part of scheduled maintenance.
• Use AlgoSec to review, optimize, simulate, and apply firewall rule changes.
• Perform impact analysis, risk assessment, and automated rule-base audits for compliance.
• Maintain documentation for security policies, workflows, and change processes.
• Troubleshoot firewall-related incidents,



traffic flow issues, and packet drops using tools like tcpdump, Flow Analytics, and Panorama logging.
• Support Site-to-Site and Remote Access IPSec/SSL VPNs.
• Collaborate with SOC/NOC teams to address threat alerts, service disruptions, and performance issues.
• Support enforcement of least privilege, segmentation, and Zero Trust policies.
• Perform L2 review of firewall rule modification requests ensuring accuracy, justification, and compliance.
• Ensure change documentation, evidence collection, rollback planning, and artifact submission.

Must-Have Skills
• Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls, Panorama, and firewall lifecycle management.
• Good understanding of AlgoSec (or Tufin) for policy orchestration, risk simulation, and automation.
• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, routing fundamentals (BGP, OSPF), NAT, access control models.
• Strong experience with VPN technologies (IPSec/SSL).
• Ability to troubleshoot L2/L3 issues using logs, packet captures, and diagnostic tools.
• Familiarity with enterprise change management & ITIL processes.

Positive-to-Have Skills
• Exposure to other security stacks: IDS/IPS, WAF, Proxies, DNS/DHCP.
• Knowledge of monitoring/assurance tools: SolarWinds, ServiceNow, Splunk, Elastic, Zabbix.
• Experience with cloud network security (Azure/AWS) firewalls and architectures.
• Automation experience (Python/API-based policy updates).
• Understanding of SIEM/SOAR integrations.

Certifications
• PCNSA – Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator.
• PCNSE – Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (strongly preferred).
• CCNA/CCNP Security.
