Job Summary
The role is responsible for end to end leadership of large scale aerospace engineering and manufacturing programs, with a strong mandate to:
• Drive manufacturing excellence across aerospace programs
• Lead automation, Industry 4.0, and digital transformation initiatives
• Own delivery, operational performance, customer success, and growth
• Build and scale regulatory compliant (ITAR/SCOMET) global delivery models
• This is a hands on leadership role, combining deep mechanical engineering credibility with program, operations, and business leadership.
Key Responsibilities
1. Aerospace Program & Portfolio Leadership
• Lead and govern multiple large aerospace programs (design, manufacturing engineering, industrialization, MRO, aftermarket).
• Manage end to end execution across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, certification, and digital teams.
• Ensure on time, on cost, on quality delivery across multi site global programs.
• Act as single point accountability for customer commitments, milestones, risks, and escalations.
2. Manufacturing Engineering & Industrialization
• Lead manufacturing engineering for aerospace components, assemblies, and systems including:
• Process design & optimization
• Tooling & fixtures
• Assembly line setup and balancing
• NPI / industrialization support
• Drive Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with factory operations (India / US / global) to improve throughput, yield, and cost.
3. Automation, Industry 4.0 & Digital Manufacturing
• Define and execute automation roadmap for aerospace manufacturing lines, including:
• Digital work instructions
• Test automation & DAQ systems
• Smart tooling and connected machines
• Lead Industry 4.0 / IIoT initiatives across manufacturing and test environments.
• Deploy data driven decision systems using manufacturing analytics, dashboards, and AI/ML where applicable.
• Drive closed-loop feedback between design, manufacturing, quality, and field data.
4. Regulatory, Certification & Compliance Leadership
• Ensure compliance with ITAR, SCOMET, export control, and aerospace regulatory standards.
• Lead or support FAA/EASA programs, including:
• PMA / STC certification
• Aftermarket engineering services
• Interface with customers, regulators, and certification bodies as required.
5. Customer & Stakeholder Management
• Build and sustain C level and senior executive relationships with aerospace OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and MROs.
• Act as a trusted advisor on digital transformation, manufacturing strategy, and engineering roadmaps.
• Lead customer reviews, governance meetings, and transformation workshops.
• Drive customer satisfaction metrics (CSAT / PCSAT) and long term account growth.
6. Business Growth & P&L; Support
• Own or strongly influence portfolio P&L;, cost management, and margin improvement.
• Support pre sales, solutioning, and proposal development for aerospace programs.
• Identify, incubate, and scale new service offerings in:
• Manufacturing engineering
• Automation & Industry 4.0
• Aerospace aftermarket & MRO
• Build revenue pipelines through cutting-edge offerings and differentiated solutions.
7. Global Delivery & People Leadership
• Build and lead large, multi disciplinary global teams (engineering, manufacturing, digital).
• Establish global delivery centers, including regulatory compliant setups where required.
• Mentor senior leaders, program managers, and technical experts.
• Create a culture of execution excellence, innovation, and ownership.
Required Qualifications
• Education
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory)
• Master’s degree (Mechanical / Manufacturing / Aeronautical Engineering) is preferred.
