Job Summary
Owns vulnerability remediation across IBM WebSphere Application Server. Version-sensitive patching with significant application-owner coordination.
Key Responsibilities
• Execute WebSphere fix-pack and iFix application across the estate.
• Manage Network Deployment cells, clusters and HA configurations during patching.
• Coordinate with application owners on validation cycles.
• Align JDK upgrades and dependent middleware library patching.
• Maintain runbooks; feed Phase 2 automation candidates.
Skill Requirements
• Deep WebSphere ND administration: cells, clusters, deployment manager, nodes.
• WebSphere fix-pack and iFix workflow.
• JVM tuning and JDK alignment.
• Hands-on wsadmin scripting.
Other Requirements
• IBM Certified System Administrator — WebSphere.
• Experience with WebSphere Liberty.
• Scripting with Ansible or Jython.
