OUTCOME+ Fractional Expertise | Full Time Impact Senior Business Analyst Operational Excellence (Retail Pharmacy) Location: Sydney / Hybrid (NSW) - virtual candidates will be considered Engagement: Contract / Project-Based (Discovery Phase) Client: Major Australian retail pharmacy chain (150-store national network) About the Opportunity We are kicking off the Discovery Phase for a major Operational Excellence Program across a 150-store national retail pharmacy network.

Rather than a typical "rip-and-replace" project, this initiative focuses on capability enablement - understanding how the central legacy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and execution functions (inventory management, pricing cascades, master data, etc.) flow down into store-level Point of Sale (POS) and clinical dispensing operations.

The discovery findings will inform the client's planned migration from its legacy ERP/POS environment to Microsoft Dynamics.

We need an experienced Senior Business Analyst to help unpack these complex operational, process and data flows, shadow store teams, and produce a recommendation paper (including a high-level migration blueprint and estimation) to support the transition to Microsoft Dynamics.

What You'll Be Doing Enterprise Process Mapping: Documenting the current central ERP, Inventory Management System (IMS), and pricing functions - including swim-lane process maps (using Miro / Visio) to show handoffs across roles and systems. Store-Level Workflow Analysis: Mapping the data and operational flows connecting central systems to store POS and dispensing platforms. Business Requirements Gathering: Eliciting and documenting functional business requirements (BRs) from central business leaders, IT, and store operations teams. Requirements & Artifact Framing: Translating discovery findings into clear, structured deliverables - including Source-to-Target Data Maps, To-Be Process Diagrams, Functional Specifications, and (in partnership with technical teams)



Technical Specifications for upcoming software applications and workflow tools. Migration Recommendation: Preparing a recommendation paper and high-level estimation to support the proposed migration from the legacy ERP/POS system to Microsoft Dynamics. Stakeholder Alignment: Facilitating collaborative workshops with central business leaders, IT, and store operations teams. Engagement Support: Supporting the engagement lead in managing the flow of the discovery project.

What We're Looking For Deep ERP/POS/IMS Systems Exposure: Hands-on experience mapping enterprise supply chain, inventory management, pricing, and point-of-sale data integration. Discovery & Framing Mastery: Ability to take ambiguous, legacy environments and turn them into transparent, structured architectural and process blueprints. Process Mapping (Swim Lane): Demonstrated experience producing swim-lane process maps using Miro and/or Visio. Business Requirements Gathering: Proven ability to elicit, structure, and document functional business requirements (BRs) from diverse stakeholders. Specification Writing: Experience writing both Functional Specifications and Technical Specifications for software/workflow solutions. Workshop Facilitation: Track record of planning and running workshops with mixed audiences - business leaders, IT, and frontline/store operations staff. Migration & Estimation Experience: Prior exposure to ERP/CRM migration planning (Microsoft Dynamics experience highly regarded) and the ability to produce credible recommendation papers and estimates. Human-Centered Approach: Strong stakeholder management skills with an empathetic approach to change - focused on enabling frontline staff rather than enforcing rigid compliance. Retail & Pharmacy/Healthcare Domain Experience: Proven track record working in Australian retail pharmacy; healthcare experience is a strong plus.
