Job Summary
Responsible for transforming manual IT operations into high-efficiency automated workflows. This role focuses on reducing manual intervention by developing both rule-based (deterministic) and AI-driven (probabilistic) automation. By leveraging continuous data analytics across the ITSM lifecycle—Incidents, Service Requests, and Change Requests—the candidate will design and deploy scalable solutions using the Extensible Automation Accelerator to streamline administrative tasks. The Track Lead for Tools & Automation plays a crucial role in managing operations with a focus on continuous improvement and problem-solving. This position is integral to meeting client SLAs and empowering teams through effective people management, ensuring that projects align with organizational objectives and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Dual-Tier Automation Development:
• Deterministic: Design and implement rule-based automation for predictable, repetitive tasks (e.g., password resets, service restarts, disk cleanup).
• Probabilistic: Develop and refine AI/ML-driven automation that handles complex, variable scenarios based on pattern recognition and historical data (e.g., predictive incident correlation and anomaly detection).
• Continuous Data Analytics: Perform ongoing analysis of ITSM data (Incidents, SRs, and CRs)
to identify high-volume manual tasks and "low-hanging fruit" for automation. Use data to measure the ROI and efficiency gains of deployed bots.
• ITSM Lifecycle Automation: Develop end-to-end automation workflows for:
• Incidents: Auto-remediation and diagnostic data gathering.
• Service Requests: Zero-touch fulfillment of standard requests.
• Change Requests: Automated pre- and post-implementation checks and standard change execution.
• Accelerator Management: Leverage and extend the Extensible Automation Accelerator (EAA) framework to build reusable components, focusing on the automation of routine administrative tasks across Windows, Linux, and Middleware environments.
• Administrative Task Reduction: Identify and automate "Toil"—the repetitive, manual, and tactical work required to keep services running—to allow engineering teams to focus on high-value projects.
• Monitoring & Optimization: Maintain and monitor the health of the automation platform itself, ensuring high availability of the automation engine and its integration points.
