Job Title: Chassis Design Engineer – NXJob Description

This role focuses on designing chassis and axle components using NX and Teamcenter, while actively supporting product lifecycle management (PLM) processes and package checks. The Chassis Design Engineer – NX contributes to the development of high-quality, robust chassis systems by creating precise 3D models and ensuring proper integration with surrounding components.

Responsibilities

- Design chassis components using UG NX, ensuring accuracy, manufacturability, and alignment with project requirements.
- Develop and refine axle components in NX, maintaining consistency with overall chassis architecture.
- Use Teamcenter to manage design data, maintain version control, and support PLM workflows throughout the product lifecycle.
- Perform package checks to verify that chassis and axle components fit correctly within the overall vehicle layout and do not interfere with other systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams by sharing NX models and Teamcenter data to support design reviews and engineering changes.
- Update and maintain design documentation within PLM systems to ensure traceability and compliance with internal standards.
- Support continuous improvement of chassis and axle designs by incorporating feedback and lessons learned into updated models.

Essential Skills

- Proficiency in UG NX for 3D design of chassis and axle components.
- Hands-on experience with Teamcenter for product data management and PLM support.
- Strong understanding of chassis and axle systems and their integration within a vehicle.
- Ability to conduct and support package checks to ensure proper fit and clearance.
- Knowledge of PLM processes and best practices for managing design changes and configurations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Prior experience specifically as a Chassis Design Engineer – NX or in a closely related chassis design role.




- Familiarity with Unigraphics-based workflows for mechanical design.
- Ability to work collaboratively with engineering teams and stakeholders using PLM and CAD tools.

You will work primarily with UG NX for 3D modeling and Teamcenter for managing design data and PLM activities.
