Role Description The Academic Counselor will work in office in Gurugram in a full-time capacity, guiding prospective and current learners through academic and career pathways. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, assessing learner interests and goals, and recommending suitable programs and learning routes. The role involves explaining course structures, eligibility, and outcomes, while addressing learner queries through in-person meetings, phone calls, and digital communication. The Academic Counselor will collaborate with faculty and internal teams to ensure a smooth admission process and ongoing learner support,



maintain accurate records of counseling interactions, and contribute insights to improve guidance tools and processes. The position requires a learner-centric approach, ethical counseling practices, and consistent follow-up to support long-term success.
Qualifications

- Strong student counseling and academic advising skills, with the ability to understand learner profiles and recommend appropriate programs.
- Career counseling and education-focused guidance skills to help learners align academic choices with long-term career goals.
- Excellent communication skills, including clear verbal and written interaction, active listening, and the ability to explain complex information simply.
- Relevant educational background, preferably a bachelor's or master's degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
- Experience in academic counseling, admissions, or education management, ideally within higher education or professional learning environments.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills, with proficiency in basic computer applications and CRM or student management systems.
- Empathetic, learner-first mindset, with the ability to work with diverse backgrounds while maintaining non-judgmental and inclusive practices.
- Ability to work on-site in Gurugram, manage a dynamic caseload, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
