Project Role Description : Define the cloud security framework and architecture, ensuring it meets the business requirements and performance goals. Document the implementation of the cloud security controls and transition to cloud security-managed operations.

Summary:

As a Data Security Specialist, you will Implement DLP and other data security solutions and define Policies.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Design, configure, and manage DLP policies across Microsoft 365, endpoints, and cloud services.

Varonis (Data Audit / DLP monitoring) and USB Filtering (DriveLock) to reduce data-leakage risk and support ongoing initiatives (e.g., platform migrations)

Deliver and operate the controls end-to-end (policy configuration, investigations, and secure operations), with strong security best practices and scripting capability to automate recurring tasks and reporting.

Implement and manage data classification, sensitivity labels, and retention policies using MS Purview

Leverage Purview for data discovery,



information protection, and regulatory compliance reporting (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA)

Work with business units to validate classification results and refine rules and policies.

Engage stakeholders to understand data flows, business use cases, and governance needs.

Provide training and awareness programs on data handling, labeling, and security best practices.

Qualified & Technical Skills:

Experience supporting Data Discovery, DSPM, DLP, Data Classification, especially Varonis

Experience in tools like Varonis, MS Purview, Proofpoint DLP etc.

Experience in designing, managing and troubleshooting various data security tools and integration with other technologies

Experience in a regulated industry (e.g. Financial Services, Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare, Energy, etc.)

Understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS).

Additional Information:

- 6 or more years experience in managing DLP, Data Discovery and Data Classification solutions.
- This position is based at our India (Bengaluru) office
