What this opportunity involves:
JLL is seeking an experienced and proactive Technical Facilities Manager to oversee all aspects of facilities and building management for a specialised pathology laboratory in Murarrie, Brisbane. This role will also extend to facility management activities for QML properties across Queensland, Northern NSW, and Tasmania. As the on-site Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for managing statutory compliance, general repairs, and the operational and technical maintenance of all facilities, ensuring the seamless operational capability of these critical environments.
An overview of the role:
Operational & Technical Management
· Oversee general repairs and the operational and technical maintenance of all facility assets
· Manage daily hard and soft services functions, including coordination of contractor access to minimise disruption
· Ensure base building equipment registers and maintenance schedules are accurate, complete, and consistently maintained
· Analyse service and building performance data to drive strategic and sustainable facility management
· Attend site after hours as required to respond to urgent issues or oversee critical works
· Provide support to other state Facility Managers as needed
Compliance, Risk & Safety
· Build and manage the facility's annual compliance timetable to ensure all statutory requirements and Essential Safety Measures are met
· Uphold a strong safety culture by ensuring all contractors and operations comply with WH&S; policies, Risk Management principles, and JLL Best Practices
· Regularly review and update site emergency response documentation, escalation procedures, and environmental response plans
· Participate in internal and external audits, including JLL's JCAP and CEM audits, and assist in completion of remedial works
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
· Deliver excellent customer service as the primary point of contact for all Facilities Management queries
· Serve as the escalation point for resolving issues related to contractor performance or client complaints
· Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Healius personnel, JLL teams, and financial partners
· Lead monthly client and vendor meetings to review performance and align on objectives
Performance Objectives
· Effectively utilise JLL's Corrigo Work Order Management Platform and other JLL systems to manage workflows and provide performance data
· Develop and analyse reports to monitor workflow performance, ensure data integrity, and identify areas for improvement
· Manage work order Not To Exceed (NTE) limits and assist in obtaining necessary business approvals for expenditures
· Achieve and exceed all contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), driving service excellence
· Conduct regular data and workflow audits to identify and implement process improvements

· Minimum 2 years of experience in facilities management or an associated discipline, with a proven record of driving delivery to the highest standard
· Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Statutory Building Compliance requirements
· Proficiency in work order management systems (e.g., Corrigo) and compliance platforms
· Ability to use IT systems including AI platforms
· A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to challenges and a strong sense of ownership over tasks
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to escalate issues clearly and concisely
· Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams
· Ability to remain composed, effective, and calm under pressure
· A demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and implementing industry best practices
· Ability to train and disseminate knowledge effectively to client employees and service providers
