Job Summary
Azure PaaS Engineer (L2/L3)

Role Description:
HCL Cloud CoE (Practice) team is looking for experienced Azure PaaS Engineers with expertise in build, configuration, and implementation of Azure PaaS Services. This role will work closely with architecture and operations team on some of HCL's largest and most strategic customer engagements to setup new PaaS centric environments, perform build & configuration, and implement POCs.

Review and integrate application requirements, including functional, security, integration, performance, quality, high-availability, disaster-recovery, and operational requirements. Review and integrate technical architecture requirements. Provide input into final decisions in resiliency, reliability, networking, integration, and security of the solution.

 Position – Azure PaaS Engineer
 Designation – Associate Consultant/Consultant
 Experience - A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in an engineering/operations-role within a software and/or services company.

Roles & Responsibilities:
 Work with Architects to deliver solutions and deploy new capabilities on process improvement and strategic initiatives in the customer environment.
 Implement/provisioning of Azure PaaS Services based on approved technical design document.
 Implementation/enablement of monitoring, metrics and logging systems for Azure PaaS Services.
 Participate in technical and troubleshooting sessions with client. Combine technical expertise and customer requirements to solve complex business challenges.
 Understand, implement and automate security controls.
 Manage and maintain tools to automate operational processes.
 Analyze and eliminate top issues impacting customer experience.
 Build automation to solve customer problems and develop scripts to automate troubleshooting and diagnostics activities.
 Create documentation (SOPs & TSGs)



to help L1/L2 teams to support operations.
 Work on critical, highly complex customer scenarios that span across multiple Azure PaaS services.

Requirements:
 5-10 years of experience in a technical position and a minimum of 3 years of experience as an Azure Cloud Engineer on most, if not all following PaaS services: Web Apps, Azure Functions, API Management, Logic Apps, Azure Integration Services (Service Bus, Event Hub, Azure Web Pub/Sub service and Event Grid), Azure Media Services, Content Delivery Network, Azure Cognitive Search, Azure OpenAI, Key Vault, Storage Accounts, Azure Advisor, Azure Policy, Application Gateway/Web Application Firewall (WAF), Load Balancer/Traffic Manager, Azure Front Door, Azure Private Link/Service Endpoint/Service Tags, Azure Monitor, Defender for cloud
 Mandatory Certifications (Any 2+): AZ-900, AZ-204,AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400, AI-900,AI-102
 Resource provisioning experience with at-least one Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like ARM/Bicep/Terraform/PowerShell, and KQL is preferred.
 Experience with source-code management and package repositories.
 Understanding of networking connectivity, monitoring and security best practices for PaaS services.
 Ability to learn new technology in a fast-paced workplace.
 Passion for customers and focus on delivering customer delighting experience.
