Job Summary
Manage enterprise SAN infrastructure across EMC and Pure Storage platforms.
• Perform end to end SAN operations including provisioning, masking, zoning, and multipathing.
• Manage and troubleshoot SAN fabric components (Brocade/Cisco) including switches, ISLs, NPIV, and buffer credits.
• Monitor SAN performance using vendor tools and proactively remediate latency, throughput, and pathing issues.
• Handle storage provisioning for Windows, Linux, VMware, AIX, and large-scale database workloads.
• Implement, maintain, and troubleshoot replication and DR technologies such as SRDF, SRDF Metro, Async Replication, and Pure replication.
• Support storage migration projects, including host cutovers, data replication, and performance validation.
• Maintain detailed documentation covering SAN architecture, LUN mapping, fabric layout, and DR topology.
• Collaborate with engineering, application, and DB teams to ensure seamless storage integration.
• Conduct regular SAN firmware upgrades, patches, and performance tuning activities.
• Participate in RCA processes and ensure adherence to service level and compliance standards.
• Basic support for NAS functions on NetApp (CIFS/NFS provisioning, SnapMirror replication).




• Assist in NAS troubleshooting only when required, focusing primarily on SAN operations.
• Strong hands on experience in EMC SAN systems (VMAX, PowerStore, Unity, PowerMax).
• Understanding of SAN protocols (FC/iSCSI), zoning (single/multi initiator), and multipathing (PowerPath/Native MPIO).
• Experience with Pure Storage arrays and replication features.
• Skilled in SAN fabric configuration, zoning, and troubleshooting (Brocade/Cisco).
• Basic scripting knowledge (Python/Shell/PowerShell) for automation.
• Experience with disaster recovery planning and documentation.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Remedy).
• Robust analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex SAN issues.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Interest in learning cloud based storage solutions (optional).
• Develop automation scripts using Python, PowerShell, and Shell to streamline SAN provisioning, health checks, and reporting.
• Build automated workflows for LUN creation, zoning templates, and performance audits.
• Integrate SAN operations with orchestration tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or custom automation frameworks.
