The RoleWe are hiring a Ticketing Team Lead to own the accuracy, speed, andcompliance of every flight booking issued during your shift. Sabreis the booking system at the center of this role. It is aspecialized, command-based platform that the global airlineindustry uses to manage flights, fares, and reservations. You willuse Sabre for everything: looking up flights, creating and managingbooking records, pricing fares, issuing tickets, processingchanges, handling refunds, and managing the queue of work your teamhandles each shift. If you are not already confident in Sabre, thisrole is not the right fit. Proficiency in Sabre is not something wecan train from scratch here. When a client approves a booking, yourteam converts that approval into a confirmed, correctly issuedairline ticket. You personally handle the most complex andhigh-value bookings. You also lead, coach, and hold accountable ateam of Ticketing Members, and you make sure every ticket is rightbefore it moves to the next stage. What You'll Do Ticketing inSabre Build and manage Passenger Name Records (PNRs) in Sabre. APNR is the master booking record that holds everything: thepassenger's name, date of birth, contact details, flight segments,frequent flyer numbers, special service requests such as mealpreferences or wheelchair assistance, and the form of payment Priceitineraries using Sabre's fare pricing tools, including storedprice quotes (PQs), to confirm the correct fare before ticketingIssue electronic tickets (e-tickets) across multiple Pseudo CityCodes (PCCs), which are the different booking accounts within Sabreused for different booking types, including award redemptions,credit card program bookings, and standard cash fares Processticket exchanges and reissues when a client changes theiritinerary, applying the correct fare difference and change feecalculations in Sabre Handle ticket voids (cancellations made thesame day as issuance) and refunds, following airline-specific rulesfor what is refundable and how residual amounts are handled Managequeue work in Sabre, which is how booking tasks, schedule changealerts,



and airline messages arrive to the team throughout theshift Identify and act on schedule change notifications fromairlines, assess the impact on the client's booking, and reissue orreprotect where needed Team Leadership Run daily check-ins withyour Ticketing Members, assign the queue based on urgency andcapacity, and rebalance workload in real time when volume spikesCoach team members on correct Sabre procedures, PCC-specific rules,common error prevention, and how to handle different booking typesSpot-check issued tickets each shift: verify ticket numbers, farebasis codes, passenger details, and endorsement fields are allaccurate and consistent with the approved booking Track error ratesacross the team and step in with targeted retraining when mistakesoccur Personally issue all VIP and high-complexity ticketsCoordination and Handover Communicate with the Client Service teamin real time for hold extensions (holds are time-limited Sabrereservations that must be either issued or released before theyexpire) or last-minute booking instructions Coordinate handover tothe Trip Fulfillment team immediately after ticketing so theitinerary and invoice reach the client without delay Submit a clearend-of-shift summary to your Concierge Manager covering ticketsissued, active holds, any schedule changes handled, and qualityissues What You Bring Must Have Sabre GDS proficiency is a firmrequirement for this role. You need to be comfortable working inSabre's command-line environment, not just a graphical front-end.This means you can build and modify PNRs, price itineraries, issuetickets, process exchanges and reissues, handle voids and refunds,and manage queues, all with confidence and speed 3+ years ofhands-on Sabre ticketing experience, ideally in a travel agency,airline, or travel management company where you personally issuedtickets daily Strong working knowledge of fare rules: youunderstand what makes a fare non-refundable or non-changeable, howpenalties are calculated, how minimum and maximum stay conditionswork, and how to read a fare note in Sabre to confirm theconditions before issuing Experience issuing across multiple PCCsand booking types, including at least one of: airline miles orpoints redemption bookings, bank or credit card loyalty programbookings, or negotiated net fares Experience processing voluntaryexchanges (client-initiated changes) and involuntary exchanges(airline-initiated changes, such as a schedule change orcancellation), including calculating any fare difference andapplying the correct endorsement A zero-error mindset on passengerdata: you know that a misspelled name, wrong date of birth, orincorrect frequent flyer number on a ticket can render it unusableor require costly corrections Experience leading or mentoringothers in a ticketing context, even informally Composure underpressure:



when multiple bookings need urgent attention at once, youstay systematic and make the right calls Nice to Have Background inluxury hospitality or high-end travel service Experience managingticketing queues for VIP or high-net-worth clients Familiarity withtask management tools such as Asana Genuine interest in airlineloyalty programs and the mechanics of award travel You do not needto check every box. If you have 80% of the skills and the drive tolearn, we want to hear from you. But Sabre proficiency is notnegotiable: it is the core tool of this role. You are handling VIP and complex Sabre bookings confidently andbeginning to coach team members in real time. Within 6-12 months:You are consistently delivering on all quality metrics, you havecontributed to at least one initiative that improved ticketingaccuracy or team performance, and your team sentiment scoresreflect strong leadership.
