Role: Programme Manager- MEL, Delhi Experience: 8+years Salary: 18- 22 LPA_________________________________________________ About the RoleThe MEL function serves as a technically credible backbone, with ateam of 12 experts in research, data management, field monitoring,dashboards, and impact evaluation. The team partners closely withprogram and leadership colleagues, ensuring MEL is embedded inprogram design and execution. We maintain robust data systemstracking outcomes for teachers, school leaders, governmentofficials, and students, which inform training, coaching, coursecorrections, and funder discussions. The next phase focuses onintegration, standardization, and scalable insights through acentral MEL dashboard—creating an exciting opportunity for aProgramme Manager to lead the next stage of an impact-driven MELfunction. Key Responsibilities 1. MEL Strategy and Systems Lead thedesign and implementation of MEL frameworks aligned withorganizational and program strategies. Provide technical leadershipin student learning outcome assessment design for internal andexternal evaluations. Develop and strengthen systems for datacollection, management, quality assurance, analysis, and reporting.Drive the use of MEL insights to shape program strategy, scaledecisions, and resource allocation. 2. Research and EvidenceGeneration Design and oversee quantitative and qualitative researchstudies, including experimental and quasi-experimental evaluations.Translate research findings into actionable insights for programand organizational decision-making. Support empirical researchprojects to inform program scale and improvement. 3.



StakeholderManagement Build and manage relationships with research partners,funders, and government stakeholders. Represent the organization intechnical forums, working groups, and evidence-sharing platforms.Develop high-quality evidence products for donors, partners, andpolicy stakeholders. 4. Team Leadership and Capacity Building Lead,mentor, and coach MEL team members across projects and geographies.Build MEL capacity among program and partner teams through trainingand guidance. Promote a learning culture and support reflection anditeration across the organization. Qualifications and RoleRequirements Educational Background: Masters degree or higher inEducation, Economics, Statistics, Public Policy, DevelopmentStudies, or related fields. Experience: 8+ years in MEL, research,or evidence roles, preferably in the education sector. Provenexpertise in student learning outcome measurement and assessmentdesign. Strong skills in quantitative and qualitative researchmethods. Experience managing and mentoring teams. Ability totranslate data into strategic insights. Familiarity with governmenteducation systems in India and large-scale education programs.Exposure to A/B testing, adaptive trials, or iterative programdesign is desirable. Core Competencies: Strategic thinking,problem-solving, stakeholder management, influencing skills,excellent communication and synthesis skills, balancing rigor withoperational feasibility, team-oriented leadership and coachingmindset.
