About the Role

Mercados is looking for a proactive and technically competent Field Supervisor (Distribution) to oversee the implementation and quality of power distribution works under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS).

The successful candidate will conduct regular site inspections, ensure adherence to technical standards and quality requirements, coordinate with DISCOMs and EPC/Turnkey contractors, monitor project execution, and support timely project completion.

This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy working on-site, collaborating with multiple stakeholders, and contributing to large-scale infrastructure projects in the power distribution sector.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct regular field inspections to monitor RDSS distribution works across Jodhpur and surrounding DISCOM areas.
- Ensure execution complies with approved drawings, GTPs, technical specifications, and quality standards.
- Monitor field quality, workmanship, and material compliance during project execution.
- Coordinate with DISCOM officials, implementing agencies, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure smooth project progress.
- Track project milestones and identify implementation bottlenecks.
- Assist Project Managers in developing corrective and preventive action plans.




- Monitor material availability and supply chain activities for uninterrupted execution.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, MIS reports, inspection reports, and weekly/monthly progress reports.
- Participate in review meetings with clients, government agencies, and internal project teams.
- Support project completion, documentation, and final handover activities.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering from a recognized university.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the power distribution sector.
- Hands-on experience supervising field execution of electrical distribution projects.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in any of the following Government Power Distribution Schemes will be highly preferred:

- RDSS
- DDUGJY
- RGGVY
- Saubhagya
- IPDS
- R-APDRP

Experience in third-party inspections, field quality monitoring, or utility infrastructure projects will be considered a strong advantage.

Required Skill

- Strong understanding of power distribution systems.
- Knowledge of distribution material specifications and quality compliance.
- Experience with field inspections and quality assurance.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, utilities, and government officials.
- Excellent reporting, documentation, and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management abilities.
- Willingness to travel extensively for site inspections.
