Senior Quality Engineer / Quality Incharge – Automotive Plastic Injection Moulding

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Quality Engineer / Quality Incharge to lead and strengthen our quality systems in an automotive plastic injection moulding facility. The ideal candidate should have experience working in an IATF 16949-certified company and be capable of managing customer quality requirements, quality documentation, inspections, and supporting IATF implementation.

Responsibilities

- Manage incoming, in-process, and final quality inspections.
- Ensure product quality meets customer specifications and standards.
- Handle customer complaints and prepare 8D reports.
- Prepare and maintain PPAP documentation.
- Develop and maintain APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and SOPs.
- Support implementation and maintenance of the IATF 16949 Quality Management System.
- Conduct internal process and product audits.
- Monitor rejection, rework, and quality KPIs and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Tool Room, and Stores to resolve quality issues.




- Manage calibration of measuring instruments and maintain quality records.
- Train quality inspectors and production operators on quality requirements.
- Participate in customer and certification audits.

Requirements

- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Plastics, Polymer, Production, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience.
- Experience working in an IATF 16949-certified manufacturing company.
- Positive knowledge of:
- IATF 16949
- PPAP
- APQP
- PFMEA
- Control Plan
- 8D Problem Solving
- SPC
- MSA
- Knowledge of injection moulding defects and root cause analysis.
- Experience using measuring instruments such as Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Dial Gauge, etc.
- Good communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

- Experience in automotive plastic components.
- Exposure to customer audits and supplier quality.
- Immediate joiners preferred.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Dehu, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

- Quality Inspection: 2 years (Preferred)
