Job Description (JD) – Project Associate

Position: Surveillance Project Associate
Department: Projects
Reporting to: Project Manager
Location: Chandigarh

Experience: 3-6 Years

Position Summary

The Surveillance Project Associate shall support the end-to-end implementation of multi-location surveillance projects involving CCTV systems, networking infrastructure, control room integration, video management systems (VMS), storage solutions, and associated field infrastructure. The role involves site coordination, deployment tracking, quality assurance, vendor management, documentation, and ensuring timely completion of project milestones.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Survey & Planning

- Conduct site surveys and collect technical requirements.
- Verify site readiness, power availability, network availability, mounting locations, and civil infrastructure.
- Prepare survey reports, BOQ verification reports, and implementation plans.
- Coordinate with customers for site access and deployment schedules.

2. Project Deployment Coordination

- Coordinate installation activities across multiple project locations.
- Monitor deployment progress against project timelines.
- Ensure availability of materials, manpower, tools, and test equipment.
- Coordinate with OEMs, subcontractors, ISPs, and local stakeholders.
- Track daily implementation progress and resolve field-level bottlenecks.

3. Surveillance System Implementation

- Support installation and commissioning of:
- IP Cameras, NVRs , Network Switches, Routers and Firewalls, UPS Systems, RF systems, device configurations and system integration.

4. Network & Connectivity Implementation

- Coordinate provisioning of Internet Connectivity.
- Verify network connectivity between field locations and control centres.




- Assist in IP addressing, VLAN implementation, and network testing.
- Ensure successful communication between cameras, recording servers, and monitoring stations.

5. Quality Assurance & Installation Audit

- Conduct installation quality inspections.
- Verify compliance with approved engineering standards.
- Ensure:
- Proper cable dressing
- Cable tagging and labeling
- T568B-compliant network termination
- Proper routing through conduits and adaptable PVC pipes
- Cable gland installation
- Earthing and surge protection compliance
- Rack installation standards
- Power cabling standards
- Prepare quality audit reports and punch point lists.

6. Testing & Commissioning

- Conduct Functional Acceptance Testing (FAT).
- Conduct Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
- Verify:
- Camera live view
- Recording functionality
- Playback functionality
- Storage retention
- Event generation
- User access controls
- Video analytics functionality (where applicable)
- Coordinate customer acceptance and sign-off activities.

7. Material & Asset Management

- Track material movement and consumption.
- Verify delivered materials against approved BOQ.
- Maintain asset records, serial numbers, and installation details.
- Coordinate replacement of defective materials during implementation.

8. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain project documentation for all locations.
- Prepare:




- Daily Progress Reports (DPR)
- Weekly Progress Reports (WPR)
- Site Survey Reports
- Installation Reports
- Commissioning Reports
- Asset Registers
- Acceptance Reports
- Update project dashboards and implementation trackers.

9. Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination

- Coordinate with:
- Customers
- Consultants
- OEMs
- Network Service Providers
- Civil Contractors
- Electrical Contractors
- Field Implementation Teams
- Participate in review meetings and track action items.

10. Project Handover & Closure

- Ensure completion of all punch points.
- Verify documentation completeness.
- Coordinate final customer acceptance.
- Support preparation of project handover documents.
- Assist in transition of completed sites to the O&M; team.
