Job Description – Linux Support Engineer / Kubernetes Administrator (4–6 Years)
Role Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Linux Support Engineer / Kubernetes Administrator with 4–6 years of experience to join our Infrastructure Engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess strong Linux operating system fundamentals, hands-on Kubernetes administration experience, and solid Python scripting skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support Kubernetes clusters, including deployment, configuration, monitoring, and issue resolution.
- Analyze and troubleshoot system performance, resource utilization, and bottlenecks across compute and container platforms.
- Perform hardware installation, replacement, and basic hardware troubleshooting when required.
- Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate operational tasks, monitoring, and routine system administration activities.
- Work closely with infrastructure, application, and platform engineering teams to resolve complex technical issues.
- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge articles.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
- 4–6 years of experience in Linux system administration.
- Strong experience with Ubuntu Linux and solid understanding of Linux fundamentals, including process management, memory management, filesystems, networking, system services,
user administration, and the Linux boot process. Hands-on experience administering Kubernetes clusters.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for Linux OS and Kubernetes environments.
- Good working knowledge of Python for scripting and automation.
- Exposure to hardware installation, component replacement, and basic server hardware troubleshooting.
- Experience with container technologies such as Docker.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools is an advantage.
