Job Purpose:

To plan, direct and co-ordinate all mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation maintenance required in the unit. Ensuring alignment with relevant standards and ensure the availability of utilities required to meet production targets.

DIMENSION OF ROLE:

Interaction with all departments at the site as well as corporate office related to budget, inventory, capex, technical engineering matters and be able to deal with regulatory authorities & external certification bodies i.e. pollution related & IBR. Job holders works closely with engineering vendors & contractors for execution of work.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- To ensure all equipment are in good condition to manufacture product as per the production requirement.

- Ensure over all engineering cost at the budgeted level.

- Monitor the energy consumption and bring improvement.

- Monitor the efficiency of major equipment, down time, energy loss and preventive maintenance of equipment.

- Develop new vendors for bringing cost effectiveness.

- Ensure 100% availability of steam, power, air, water and chilled water as per production requirement.

- Implementing safety initiatives in all areas of engineering and monitoring the results.





- To implement all SOP and Work Compliance of SOP and practicing utmost safety standards to ensure industrial safety.

- To coordinate the Internal Quality Audit and support the site to meet the QMS requirement. Ensure corrective actions are taken as per agreed time line on the observation raised during internal / external audits.

- To support the site team in customer audit readiness and monitoring of the compliance of the actions on regular basis.

- To lead & coach engineering team.

- To develop capabilities of team members by various training programs.

Qualification:

B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Competencies:

Technical:

- Cost & business understanding.

- Knowledge of the production process applicable in cosmetic industry.

- Good knowledge of utilities & production equipment.

- Well versed with legal & statutory requirement for HT systems, air, water & noise pollution.

- Basic awareness on cosmetic EHS, GMP & ISO Standards.
