9Hostel Warden – Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Manage the overall administration and daily operations of the girls' hostel.
- Ensure discipline and adherence to hostel rules and regulations.
- Supervise the safety, security, and welfare of all hostel residents.
- Allocate rooms and maintain hostel occupancy records.
- Monitor student attendance, movement, and leave permissions.
- Maintain visitor registers and regulate entry and exit procedures.
- Address student grievances and provide guidance and counselling.
- Coordinate with parents regarding student welfare and disciplinary matters.
- Handle medical emergencies and coordinate with healthcare providers when required.
- Supervise housekeeping, cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
- Monitor maintenance requirements and coordinate timely repairs.
- Ensure uninterrupted availability of essential facilities such as water, electricity, and internet.
- Oversee hostel mess operations and ensure food quality, hygiene, and timely service.




- Collect and review student feedback on hostel facilities and mess services.
- Maintain hostel records, attendance, inventory, complaints, and asset registers.
- Organize hostel meetings, orientation programmes, and awareness sessions.
- Coordinate with the Principal, Administration, HR, Security, and other departments.
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies, safety regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Implement emergency preparedness, fire safety, and crisis management procedures.
- Prepare periodic reports on hostel operations and recommend improvements for student welfare and hostel management
