Job Summary

- Must possess strong expertise in IBM AS/400 (IBM i) application development, support, enhancement, and modernization using RPG III, RPG IV, RPGLE, CL/CLLE, and DB2/400.
- Analyze existing AS/400 applications, business processes, interfaces, reports, and batch jobs as part of the migration and transformation initiative.
- Conduct application assessment and impact analysis to identify legacy functionalities, customizations, dependencies, and integration points.
- Collaborate with business users, architects, business analysts, and target system teams to understand and document current-state business processes.
- Support application discovery, source code analysis, data mapping, and business rule extraction activities.
- Review RPG programs, database files, logical files, stored procedures, and batch processes to support migration planning and execution.
- Create functional and technical documentation for legacy applications, interfaces, reports, and conversion requirements.
- Support data extraction, data validation, reconciliation, and migration activities from AS/400 environments.
- Identify opportunities for application rationalization, modernization, and process standardization during the migration program.
- Develop utilities, conversion programs, validation routines, and reconciliation reports to support migration and archival activities.
- Participate in system integration testing, user acceptance testing, defect resolution,



and post-migration validation activities.
- Work closely with data migration, archival, integration, and reporting teams to ensure successful transition from the AS/400 platform.
- Troubleshoot application, database, and interface issues and provide root cause analysis and resolution recommendations.
- Support cutover planning, legacy system retirement, knowledge transfer, and post-implementation support activities.
- Create and maintain application inventories, technical specifications, process flows, and migration documentation.
- Must possess robust SQL, DB2/400 database, debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in large-scale AS/400 modernization, ERP transformation, legacy system replacement, or migration projects will be a strong advantage.

4. To perform troubleshooting at the ERP and database level
