Key Responsibilities:
1. Design & Engineering
- Lead the design and Engineering of instrumentation and control systems for:
- HVAC & Clean room systems – pressure, temperature, humidity sensors; duct monitoring, integration with BMS
- FMCS t
- control & monitoring of all utility
- Chemical handling and distribution – distribution and safety control.
- Gas systems – distribution and safety control.
- Water treatment systems – UPW, ETP & ZLD instrumentation and control
- Process Exhaust systems – distribution and safety control.
- Process cooling water systems – distribution and safety control.
- CDA systems – distribution and safety control.
- HT & LT Electrical systems – distribution and safety control.
- Develop and review:
- P&IDs;, loop diagrams, I/O lists, instrument indexes, control narratives
- Instrument datasheets, installation details, wiring schematics, and panel designs
- Ensure designs are in compliance with:
- ISA, IEC, NFPA, SEMI, ISO, and industry best practices
2. Review & Validation
- Review and approve vendor documents, instrumentation layouts, and control philosophies.
- Conduct technical reviews during engineering and project execution stages.
- Support HAZOP, LOPA, SIL,
and functional safety reviews for high-risk systems (chemical/gas).
- Provide design validation, change control approvals, and design sign-offs
3. Project Execution & Commissioning
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, EPC contractors, and system integrators for project implementation.
- Oversee installation, loop checking, commissioning, and system integration.
- Conduct FAT/SAT and support IQ/OQ/PQ as applicable in regulated environments.
4. Compliance & Safety
- - Ensure instrumentation systems meet environmental, safety, and process standards.
- Support cleanroom monitoring (pressure differential, temperature, particle count, etc.).
- Integrate and maintain gas leak detection, ESD systems, and emergency interlocks.
5. Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor a team of instrumentation engineers and technicians.
- Allocate resources, track KPIs, and support skill development initiatives.
- Coordinate with internal departments (Facilities, Process, EHS, QA/QC) and external partners.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Control Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in instrumentation design, installation, and maintenance.
Key Skills:
- Strong in instrumentation design and engineering review
- Deep understanding of water treatment instrumentation
- Expertise in cleanroom environment controls, building automation, chemical and gas distribution automation.
- Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder coordination skills
- Leadership, planning, and vendor management experience
Qualification & Experience
- BE / BTech in Instrumentation Engineering.
- 10–15 years of experience in utility engineering, projects, and operations
