An Electrician cum Plumber in a hospital maintains and repairs critical electrical, water, and drainage infrastructure. The role ensures safe, continuous utility operations across patient care zones, operating theatres, and general facilities, usually requiring an ITI certification and 2 to 5 years of facility maintenance experience.

Electrical Maintenance

- Power & Lighting: Repair and maintain internal wiring, light fixtures, switches, power distribution boards, and sockets.
- Critical Backup: Monitor and assist in maintaining backup generators, UPS units, and patient-care critical circuits.
- Fault Finding: Troubleshoot electrical breakdowns rapidly using testing meters and adhere to strict safety codes.

Plumbing Maintenance

- Water Supply & Drainage: Fix leaking pipes, broken valves, clogged drains, and overflowing sanitary fixtures across the hospital.
- Infrastructure Servicing: Maintain hospital water tanks, filtration systems, and booster pumps.
- Pipe Fitting: Cut, join, and assemble PVC, CPVC, and copper piping systems.

Facility & Safety Protocols

- Preventive Checks:



Conduct routine inspections of both electrical and plumbing lines to prevent emergency failures.
- Emergency Response: Attend to urgent breakdown calls on a 24/7 rotating shift schedule.
- Record Keeping: Maintain logs of daily maintenance tasks, repairs completed, and parts replaced.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

- Education: High school pass (10th/12th) plus an ITI certificate or vocational diploma in Electrical or Plumbing trades.
- Experience: Minimum 2 to 5 years of hands-on multi-utility maintenance experience, preferably inside a hospital or commercial building environment.
- Core Skills: Ability to read wiring diagrams, good manual dexterity, robust knowledge of safety protocols (Lockout/Tagout), and physical fitness for active on-site work.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
