Job Description: Project Engineer – Transmission Line (Execution)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Engineer – Transmission Line (Execution) to oversee, execute, and supervise all site activities related to the construction, erection, and commissioning of Extra High Voltage (EHV) transmission lines. The successful candidate will ensure all project phases are completed in absolute adherence to technical standards, safety protocols, quality requirements, and strict project timelines.

Key Details

Experience Required: 8 to 12 Years

Compensation: INR 12,00,000 – 15,00,000 Per Annum (CTC)

Minimum Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering (BE) / Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Civil or Electrical Engineering

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Site Execution & Supervision

Execute & Oversee: Lead all on-site activities including detailed surveying, tower foundation (stub setting/concreting), tower erection, stringing, and sagging.

Contractor Management: Supervise contractor teams for secure and efficient tower erection utilizing derricks, cranes, or gin poles according to approved method statements.

Compliance: Ensure all ongoing work aligns perfectly with approved drawings, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and project specifications.

Resource Management: Monitor daily site progress, manpower distribution, and equipment utilization to optimize productivity.

Cross-Functional Coordination:



Collaborate seamlessly with civil, mechanical, and safety (HSE) teams to ensure smooth, hazard-free operations.

2. Coordination & Documentation

Liaison: Act as the primary site contact for clients, consultants, and vendors regarding technical inspections and material dispatch.

Site Records: Maintain impeccable site documentation, including Daily Progress Reports (DPR), work permits, and strict measurement records.

Reporting & Billing: Support project billing cycles, prepare as-built drawings, conduct material reconciliation statements, and measure physical progress accurately.

3. Quality Control & Inspection

Foundations & Fabrication: Validate foundation markings, stub settings, and concrete quality against approved designs. Inspect fabricated tower materials, hardware, insulators, and conductors upon arrival.

Structural Integrity: Verify proper tightening torque values, alignment, and verticality of towers according to engineering standards.

Stringing Quality: Supervise the stringing process, maintaining precise sag and tension while ensuring regulatory ground and obstacle clearances.

Approvals: Prepare comprehensive quality checklists and inspection reports to secure client approvals.

4. Testing & Commissioning

Pre-Commissioning: Supervise critical line testing activities, including Insulation Resistance (IR) testing, continuity tests, and thorough line patrolling prior to charging.

Termination: Coordinate directly with substation teams for seamless line termination, jumper connections, and final charging operations.

Project Handover: Ensure all identified punch points are cleared and resolved before final line energization

Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
