STEM Coordinator – STEM Education

Job Description

Youth for Seva is seeking agile and passionate individuals to join our team as STEM Trainers for implementing

experiential STEM learning programs in government schools. The role involves conducting hands-on Science,

Mathematics, and Robotics sessions for students and supporting innovation-based learning initiatives.

The ideal candidate should have strong engagement skills with children, basic STEM understanding, and

enthusiasm for activity-based learning.

Roles & Responsibilities:

STEM Session Delivery

Conduct hands-on STEM sessions in Science, Mathematics, and Robotics for students from Grades 5–8.

Facilitate experiential learning activities using STEM kits, DIY models, and simple robotics tools.

Simplify concepts into easy and relatable learning experiences for students.

Classroom & Student Engagement

Encourage student participation through interactive and activity-based teaching methods.

Support students in exhibitions, STEM Day activities, and innovation challenges.

Create a positive and inclusive classroom learning environment.

Planning & Coordination

Follow the STEM curriculum and session plans provided by the organization.

Coordinate with school teachers and Headmasters for smooth execution of sessions.

Ensure proper usage and maintenance of STEM materials and kits.

Monitoring & Reporting

Maintain attendance, session records, and activity documentation.

Share regular updates, photos, and reports with the project coordination team.

Support assessments and data collection activities when require

Qualifications and Skills

Age 23yrs to 35yrs

Education Bachelor’s degree in Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Education, or related
fields preferred.

Candidates with strong interest in STEM education and activity-based learning may

also apply

Experience 1 to 4 years of experience in teaching, training, NGO, or education-related projects
preferred.

Prior experience in STEM, Robotics, or experiential learning programs will be an
added advantage.

Languages needed Fluency in Kannada and basic English communication preferred.

Commitment Min10 to 12 Months

Salary and Benefit 25,000₹ to 30,000₹ per month (CTC).

Travel allowance for school visits.

Opportunity to work on impactful education initiatives and student innovation
programs.

Work Timing 9:30 am – 6:00pm.
Flexibility required during STEM events, exhibitions, and school activities.

Location Bengaluru

Skills Basic understanding of Science & Mathematics (Grade 5–8 level)

Ability to conduct hands-on STEM and activity-based learning sessions

Basic knowledge of robotics kits, DIY models, and simple electronics

Familiarity with block-based coding platforms (Scratch or similar) is preferred

Good classroom management and student engagement skills

Ability to simplify concepts into easy, relatable examples

Basic knowledge of MS Office and Google Sheets.

Other requirements Willingness to travel to assigned schools

Passion for teaching and working with children

Comfortable working in government school environments

Candidates should be comfortable with hands-on teaching and not limited to

theoretical instruction

Candidates will be required to conduct a demo session as part of the selection

process.
