About the Role

We are looking for a creative and commercially driven Merchandiser cum Fashion Designer to join our men's apparel brand. This role is ideal for someone who can seamlessly blend design creativity with merchandising expertise, taking ownership from concept development to production and final product launch.

Key Responsibilities

- Design seasonal collections in line with the brand's vision and current fashion trends.
- Develop mood boards, color stories, fabric selections, prints, and trims.
- Create sketches, CADs, tech packs, and specification sheets.
- Coordinate with vendors, manufacturers, and sourcing partners for sample development and bulk production.
- Follow up on sampling, fittings, approvals, and production timelines.
- Source fabrics, trims, and accessories while maintaining quality and cost targets.
- Plan product assortments based on market trends, customer preferences, and sales insights.
- Ensure timely product launches by managing the complete merchandising calendar.
- Conduct market and competitor research to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
- Maintain product costing, BOMs, and merchandising documentation.
- Work closely with production, marketing, and leadership teams to ensure successful execution.

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Fashion Design, Apparel, Textile, or a related field.




- 2–5 years of experience in both Fashion Designing and Apparel Merchandising, preferably in men's wear.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, fit, washes, and production processes.
- Experience in vendor management, sourcing, and production follow-ups.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, or similar design software.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel for merchandising and costing.
- Robust communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple styles and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with casualwear or contemporary men's fashion.
- Understanding of garment costing and product pricing.
- Strong trend forecasting and commercial design sense.
