About Scatterlink

Scatterlink (based in Canada) is a fast-growing, product-based SaaS company building IoT-powered inventory tracking, analytics, and ERP-integrated solutions for industrial operations. We are looking for a Staff/Technical Lead – Backend / Distributed Systems (7–10 years experience) to lead backend architecture and help scale the platform as we enter a major growth phase in 2026.

The Role

Location: On-site, Mumbai (Monday–Friday + alternate Saturdays)

Start Date: Immediate

Type: Full-time (Onsite)

What You’ll Work On:

- Lead backend architecture for a SaaS-first, event-driven platform
- Design and build scalable backend services using TypeScript, Node.js, and Python
- Own core data systems across PostgreSQL and MongoDB
- Build and maintain event-driven integrations using Kafka / message queues / event bridges
- Design reliable data flows between mobile apps, IoT devices, backend services, and ERP systems
- Support analytics and AI-driven features (data pipelines, inference workflows, cost-aware design)
- Ensure system reliability: idempotency, retries, failure handling, observability




- Mentor junior engineers and set backend engineering standards
- Collaborate closely with frontend, IoT, and product teams

What We’re Looking For (Must-Haves):

- 7–10 years of strong backend engineering experience
- Deep hands-on experience with distributed systems & event-driven architectures
- Strong proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and Python
- Experience with Kafka, message queues, or similar async systems
- Solid understanding of data consistency, scalability, and system design
- Experience building enterprise-grade SaaS platforms from scratch
- Exposure to analytics, data platforms, or AI/ML-enabled systems
- Comfortable leading technically and mentoring junior developers
- Startup mindset: ownership, pragmatism, and ability to build under ambiguity

Nice to Have:

- Experience integrating with ERP systems (D365, SAP, or similar)
- Background in IoT, high-volume event ingestion, or real-time systems
- Experience optimizing performance, cost, and reliability at scale

Pay: ₹2,855,118.00 - ₹3,616,522.00 per year
