About the Role

We are looking for a Purchase Engineer to handle procurement for our CNC, forging and conventional machining shop floor.

Key Responsibilities

Purchase of cutting tools, inserts, collets, chucks, fixtures, gauges and consumables

Raw material procurement — SS bright bars, hex/round bars, hollow bars, forging billets (SS 304/316, duplex, Monel, Inconel, brass, CS)

Verification of MTC, grade, size and tolerance as per ASTM/ASME standards

Purchase of machines, spares, AMC and capital items

Development of current vendors for CNC machining, forging and conventional job-work

Vendor visits, capability assessment, rate negotiation and annual rate contracts

Reading engineering drawings, floating RFQs,



preparing comparative statements

Delivery follow-up, GRN coordination with Stores, and inventory control

ERP entry — PO, GRN, vendor and price master

Required Skills

Ability to read 2D drawings, GD&T; and thread specifications

Knowledge of CNC turning/VMC, forging and conventional machining processes , toolings used

Costing and negotiation ability

Working knowledge of ERP and MS Excel

GST/HSN, Incoterms and import purchase knowledge preferred
