Patient Care

- Assess and examine admitted patients and document clinical findings.
- Monitor patients' clinical condition and initiate appropriate management under consultant supervision.
- Review patient progress during ward rounds and implement treatment plans.
- Attend to medical emergencies within the wards and provide timely intervention.
- Perform routine bedside procedures as per clinical privileges and hospital protocols.

Clinical Documentation

- Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
- Prepare admission notes, progress notes, discharge summaries, and referral notes.
- Ensure timely documentation of investigations, treatment, and clinical outcomes.
- Complete all medical records in compliance with hospital and regulatory requirements.

Coordination & Communication

- Coordinate with consultants regarding patient management and treatment decisions.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff and allied healthcare professionals.
- Counsel patients and their relatives regarding treatment plans, investigations, and follow-up care.
- Coordinate referrals and interdepartmental consultations.

Investigations & Treatment





- Order appropriate investigations as advised by consultants.
- Interpret laboratory and radiology reports and update consultants regarding significant findings.
- Prescribe medications and treatment as per hospital policy and consultant instructions.
- Monitor response to treatment and modify care plans after consultant review.

Quality & Patient Safety

- Follow hospital policies, infection prevention protocols, and patient safety standards.
- Report adverse events, medication errors, and clinical incidents promptly.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and accreditation activities.
- Ensure ethical and evidence-based medical practice.

Administrative Responsibilities

- Participate in ward rounds, departmental meetings, and academic sessions.
- Assist in maintaining departmental statistics and records.
- Ensure smooth handover during shift changes.
- Support implementation of hospital policies and standard operating procedures.
