Job Description:

Recent Horizon Public School is seeking a qualified, organized, and enthusiastic School Librarian to manage and develop the school library, foster reading habits among students, and support teachers and students in their academic and research activities

Qualifications & Skills:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Library Science or relevant field
- 1–3 years of experience as a School Librarian
- Familiarity with library management systems and basic computer skills
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Passion for books, reading, and student development
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and school staff

Key Responsibilities:





- Manage the day-to-day operations of the school library
- Organize, catalog, and maintain books, digital resources, and reference materials
- Assist students and staff in locating and using library resources effectively
- Encourage reading culture through library periods, book clubs, and reading programs
- Maintain records of issued/returned books and inventory
- Coordinate with teachers to support curriculum-related reading and research
- Ensure a quiet, safe, and welcoming library environment
- Plan and conduct library orientations and literacy activities
- Stay updated with new books, educational resources, and library best practices

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
