Job Summary

Vardaan Hospital & Research Centre is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Pathology Technician to join our Diagnostic Services Department. The candidate will be responsible for collecting, processing, analyzing, and reporting laboratory samples while ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with NABH standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Collect, receive, label, and process blood, urine, stool, sputum, and other clinical samples.
- Perform routine laboratory investigations, including Hematology, Biochemistry, Clinical Pathology, Serology, and Immunology tests.
- Prepare blood smears, slides, and specimens for microscopic examination.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory analyzers and diagnostic equipment.
- Perform Internal Quality Control (IQC) and assist in External Quality Assurance (EQAS) activities.
- Verify test results and promptly report critical values to the concerned doctor.
- Generate and print pathology reports through the Hospital Information Management System (HIMS).
- Maintain proper documentation, laboratory registers, reagent logs, calibration records, and quality control records.
- Ensure proper storage, inventory management, and stock monitoring of reagents and consumables.
- Follow Biomedical Waste Management (BMWM) guidelines and Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) protocols.
- Ensure compliance with NABH standards, laboratory SOPs, and hospital policies.




- Coordinate effectively with doctors, nurses, and other departments for timely sample processing and report delivery.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure accurate identification of all laboratory specimens.

Qualification

- DMLT / BMLT (Mandatory)
- Registration with the appropriate authority (if applicable)
- Certification in laboratory quality practices will be an added advantage.

Experience

- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a hospital diagnostic laboratory.
- Freshers with good technical knowledge may also apply.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of Hematology, Biochemistry, Clinical Pathology, Serology, and Microbiology.
- Experience in operating automated laboratory analyzers.
- Familiarity with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS/HIMS).
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts, whenever required.

Salary & Benefits

- Salary: 12000-14000
