The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the end-to-end supply chain operations of the organization. This role ensures the timely procurement, inventory management, logistics coordination, vendor management, and cost optimization while maintaining quality standards and uninterrupted project execution.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement & Sourcing
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers and vendors.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts, and service agreements.
Ensure timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services.
Monitor supplier performance and initiate corrective actions when required.
Inventory & Warehouse Management
Ensure optimum inventory levels to avoid shortages and excess stock.
Monitor stock movement, ageing, and reorder levels.
Coordinate with stores for accurate stock records and periodic stock audits.
Implement inventory control measures to reduce wastage and improve efficiency.
Supply Chain Planning
Plan material requirements based on project schedules and operational demands.
Coordinate with project, planning, cost, finance, and purchase teams to ensure uninterrupted material availability.
Forecast demand and prepare procurement plans accordingly.
Monitor supply chain risks and develop contingency plans.
Logistics & Distribution
Manage transportation and delivery schedules to project sites.
Ensure timely dispatch and receipt of materials.
Coordinate with logistics partners for cost-effective transportation.
Monitor delivery performance and resolve logistics-related issues.
Vendor Management
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers.
Conduct supplier evaluations based on quality, delivery performance, pricing, and compliance.
Develop alternative supplier sources to minimise procurement risks.
Cost Control
Analyse procurement costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Monitor procurement budgets and spending.
Prepare cost comparison statements and procurement reports for management review.
Compliance & Process Improvement
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and statutory regulations.
Develop and improve SCM processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Ensure proper documentation of purchase orders, contracts, invoices, and delivery records.
Drive digitalisation and process automation wherever possible.
Team Leadership
Lead and mentor the SCM, purchase, stores, and logistics teams.
Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Reporting
Prepare weekly and monthly SCM performance reports.
Present procurement status, inventory reports, supplier performance, and cost-saving initiatives to management.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend improvement plans.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
MBA in Supply Chain Management or Operations Management is preferred.
Experience
Minimum 5-10 years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, or Operations.
Experience in the Construction, Infrastructure, Engineering, Manufacturing, or EPC industry is preferred.
